Thesis Statement

The African American female me and my partner (BRIANA) are working on is Elizabeth Ann Eckford. She is a woman of color who has fought for something that she feels is right. She was the first African American student to enter Little Rock Central High 50 Years ago. My position on this incident is that despite the obstacles she faced as an African American woman in the segregated world, of the 1950's, Elizabeth Ann Eckford had enough courage to attend Little Rock Central High, an all white school which threatened, hated, and put her through hell. Here is a video that shows you what Elizabeth was going through.

Topic Selection (ELIZABETH ECKFORD)

The person me and my partner (BRIANA) chose to work on for NHD was Elizabeth Eckford. We chose her because she made history as a member of the Little Rock Nine. I heard about her before but i've never done a project on Elizabeth, so I think that by me working on her for NHD would be great because I don't really know about her as much as I could.
