My Ballard Spahr Experience
My experience at Ballard Spahr was very interesting and exciting. I learned several things and I would love to go back and spend time at the law firm. When we first arrived at Ballard Spahr we ate breakfast and then were introduced to our person we was assigned to shadow. I was assigned to Tamar Jergensen. She is an attorney at law and a woman of business. As the day went by we went up to her office and talked. We talked about green house gas, which is the name of a group she is working on, and we talked about what she does in her office. She called Ms. Carol in Hawaii and talked about to go over a few things regarding green house gas, and she also gave me a sheet she wanted me to review and give her feedback, and possibly find any errors. Mrs. Tamar spends most of her time on the computer because that’s where 90% of her work is, and she also uses her phone a lot to talk to talk to people all over the world. She is very humorous and she also knows how to get down to business and get focused on her work. I enjoyed seeing what she does on a regular basis, and I enjoyed just being at a law firm. If I could then I would thank her a million times for taking up her time and accompanying me. While I was there I interviewed her, and asked her things regarding her job. She had a positive attitude about the whole situation. I am very grateful that Mrs. Tamar went out of her time to attend my needs. I would love to go back there and do it all over again because she is very inspiring. I learned that being an attorney is not that bad once you sit and talk to an attorney and let them explain to you in detail that being a lawyer is great. She proved to me that being in a courtroom is not boring, or intimidating, but is exciting. It felt like she enjoyed what she does, and helping people was her main goal. If I could then I would say THANK YOU!! Once again.
